Susan, it’s ok to be angry. I know I would be! You have been through SO much. I’m one of those people who just doesn’t do “sick” very well. I’m thinking that perhaps you are too? That sweet, gracious Susan hasn’t gone anywhere. She’s just taking the back seat for a bit. When this passes and it will pass, Susan will be back in full force with a better understanding of herself. Be gentle with yourself and know that those who love and care for you understand. 🩷
As one counselor type to another, maybe a brief period of counseling? I'm sure your feelings are not unheard of in your situation. (Don't take offense)
These feelings after a stroke are not unusual Susan. Helplessness and dependency on others can really make us angry. We just naturally want to be strong and independent, especially when that’s who we’ve been all our lives. Your friends know that you’re still the sweet, funny Susan we always knew. Try to not be too hard on yourself.
I think our personalities change a lot, depending on what we are going through. Just keep writing it down or at least recording it somehow that might be useful later! 😕♥️
Healing has its own time table. Write, read poetry take long walks. Live with the gratitude you can still write a good blog. Edna St. Vincent Millay recommended!

I understand. Acceptance is difficult, at any age. Prayers for restoring balance and strength, Susan.
Hang in there girl. You are loved and in my prayers.
She’s still there. She’s just going through a rough patch!🙏🏻😊😘
