A lot of us never had the encouragement to do great things. Or to go on adventures or discover new surprises about ourselves. Many of us don’t accomplish the things we feel we are meant to be doing. Some of us still struggle with understanding what our purpose in life is, beyond being caretakers.
Some of us, if not all, have become excellent at distracting ourselves to avoid what might be considered the most important things in life.
Many of us don’t even know our own hearts and minds. Or what we might do with ourselves if we suddenly had time and permission to follow our heart’s desire.
It seems to me that now is the time to believe in yourself. Now is the time to get clarity about what it is that you need to be doing. Now is the time to be an effective and responsible human. Now is the time.
I believe we have reached an All-Hands-On-Deck moment. I believe you have a role to play in this Drama we call Life, with its ongoing battles between good and evil. I believe that every single one of us matters.
AND. Our purpose for being alive at this point in history is probably more significant than we think.
Maybe you know what you need to be doing, but something is stopping you from doing it. Maybe Fear is stopping you. Maybe a lack of courage. Maybe a lack of belief in yourself. Maybe in the past you have believed too many messages that you weren’t good enough. Maybe old scripts play in your head and you don’t know how to start a new script.
Many of us are lonely, sad or grieving and don’t see a way forward.
Many of us need someone to remind us how valuable you are.
Many of us need someone in our corner who believes in us.
I believe in you.
Even though we may not have ever met, I believe in you. I believe in the possibilities of you. I believe you matter.
Imagine that a string of light connects us through these words and for a few seconds we are all connected.
Let go of your judgement of yourself and others. Whisper to yourself, “I believe in you.”
Act as if this statement is true.
Now imagine that you pass these words on to someone you love. Say to them, “I believe in you.”
Pass it on.
Send your string of light out into the world. Touch as many people as you can. Touch the people reading this.
Pass it on.
I believe in you. I love you. You are important to me.❤️
I don't know if you have the time or inclination these days, but the writing workshops you gave while you were in Brevard were very much living, breathing "I believe in you" events. They were inspirational, helpful and life-changing for many of us. Please consider taking your message to more of those who would like to have sessions with you--maybe even using Zoom.
I believe in you, as well, Susan. You had the courage to step out into the unknown both emotionally and physically. Your life had gone through such changes and instead of letting those changes pull you done, you pulled up stacks, moved to another state, and began again. That in itself proved what an outstanding lady you are! You are deserving of having our faith in you expressed.
