Good as New?
Never been better.
Hi friends. You need to stop feeling sorry for me now, if you ever did. Trust me about this. I am in better shape than I’ve ever been. I have strength I never knew I had. Physical strength from all the physical therapy exercises I continue to do. Emotional strength from persevering and carrying on. And intellectual strength from not only reading a ton, but writing with renewed vigor.
My hearing loss was easily the most tragic thing about me. I could no longer hear on the telephone, or check my voicemails, or have a simple phone call with the friends I’ve had since college. Starting today, that is a thing of the past.
I now have a closed captioning phone. Google it, if you don’t know anything about it. Anyone with hearing loss, from mild to profound, could possibly benefit from having one of these devices. Here in South Carolina, you receive one for free if you possess a landline.
I am not a big talker on the phone, but I could be if I wanted to be. I also ordered for myself a free doorbell ringer that lights up whenever someone is at the door.
Poor Rocky. He is now out of a job, but he has plans to retire and work on his Art.
I even had the bizarre thought after the installer left, that I am glad that I had my stroke if it meant I suddenly had tools that I needed for my hearing loss. So isn’t that a bizarre turn around? All that to say, all is well here in my world.
If you want to call me and leave a message, here is my new number: 1-864-263-7126.
Keep in mind, I am not someone who chitchats. Never have been. I’m too busy writing to do that!
Love you! ♥️

I’m smiling here! Strawberry lemonade out of lemons! It will only get better! 🥰
So good to know about your progress. Always wishing you the best and looking forward to reading your next book.
